Founded in 2006, our Egypt operation has unparalleled insights into the socio-political nuances of doing business in Egypt, with long-standing experience of working with the country’s major decision-makers and influencers.
Our Cairo office comprises a team of well-connected Egyptians who have a wealth of experience in the IT, government, finance, telecoms, industrial, consumer and NGO sectors as well as strong links to leading government figures, celebrities, C suite executives, bloggers and the most influential media – be it print, online or TV. They are relentless in the way they deliver impact for clients and love to be challenged.
The team also has solid experience in crisis and issues management and has successfully supported a number of clients to overcome difficult times.
Riham El Adl brings more than 12 years of experience to the role of General Manager for Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Egypt. In this role she is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Cairo office including providing guidance and support to the Cairo team, leading new business development and providing strategic counsel for all H+K clients.
Her role of General Manager has also seen her be part of H+K's ITIDA (Information Technology Industry Development Agency) global core management team for three years, promoting Egypt as an IT outsourcing / business process outsourcing destination for the GCC, North American and European markets. Additionally, she was the regional strategy consultant for Qualcomm, supporting teams in Dubai, KSA, Egypt and Nigeria.
Prior to joining H+K’s Egypt team in November 2007, Riham worked for two years at H+K in Dubai where she was the regional account manager for Intel, overseeing Dubai, KSA and Egypt. She also managed the accounts of Axiom Telecom, Sorouh Real Estate and Interpipe. Before to locating to Dubai, Riham was employed with Zeno Group - a Daniel J. Edelman company - in San Francisco where she lived for four years.
An Egyptian national, Riham holds a MA in Integrated Marketing Communications from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. She also achieved her BA in Mass Communications from the American University in Cairo where she also minored in Theatre and Philosophy.
